AUGUST 1, 2024My favorite cities are places I could never live. I enjoy the fleeting comfort of somewhere I will never call home.
My favorite friends are the ones I have met in the last two years. We have yet to fight, truly, but it has been long enough to know that we are good friends.
My favorite restaurants do not exist anymore. They have all closed, are too far away, not the same as they were. They cook the steak differently, I don’t recognize the waiters, I know too many patrons.
My favorite bars are too close. Always full, it's just past last call, they remember my fake ID, they don’t let me smoke inside anymore.
My favorite songs make me cry. I have listened to them too many times, they have become the soundtrack to change.
My favorite holidays are the ones without tradition and obligation, you can do anything with anyone, and the day is marked as “special.”
My favorite car is the one that I destroyed. You never forget something that fell apart due to your actions.
My favorite farm animal is the turkey. My least favorite nutrient-rich game meat is turkey. I have found these are unrelated.
My favorite flowers are lilies and orchids. I don’t know how to care for either of them, so I buy them often.
My favorite love songs are associated with no lover, they inspire me to have a love that relates.
My favorite pasta is none at all, I shouldn’t be eating gluten.
My favorite actor is the one I’d most like to sleep with.
My favorite actress is the one I’d most like to be.
My favorite artist is embarrassing.
My favorite board game is Pretty Pretty Princess. I always felt like one with that board in front of me.
My favorite card game is Oh Hell. I love to say it.
My favorite thing to leave behind is a handwritten note.
My favorite thing to find left behind is a handwritten note.
My favorite thing to do on my birthday is cry, my second favorite thing to do is dance.
