APRIL
20, 2021
April Favorites.
I have been in dire need of a new statement belt. This one is from the 70’s, it buckles sideways, and it is sexy.
Hipstamatic. I am trying to bring it back. I long for the day that Hipstamatic returns. Imagine facetuning a photo and putting it through a Hispstamatic filter before posting it on Instagram. So chic.
This Muji toner. I’ve been searching far and wide for a good toner, tried many and I kind of resent them all (excluding the Kiehl’s toner to follow). My Dad put this one in my easter basket. I’ve been using it since then and I declare it an April Favorite.
The Kiehl’s Calendula toner. They have a Calendula hair oil that smells really great, so I tried the toner, it has no smell at all, and thank god. I’ve been using this since the beginning of April and it’s the only other toner I don’t hate.
I used this once and walked to duane reade the next morning to buy a tub. It is in fact refreshingly soft. Gives me moisture and a nice glow. In the last year I have begun to appreciate and implement the use of drug store products in my skincare routine.
I’ve gotten back into reading this April and I am a whore for self help books. The more you know the more you grow!
Contrary to self help books, I finished “Women” this month. I generally follow the rule that if you see Bukowski on someone’s bookshelf - run. But I was given this book over the summer and never finished it, so with only 50 pages left, it was a nice read. It’s not neccessarily an ‘April Favorite’ and yet here it is, amongst the April Favorites.
Creepy Susie and 13 other tragic tales for troubled children. This was my favorite book in middle school and after finding it in my basement this April, I had to share. It is completely fucked up and definitely not a children’s book.
C&B’s choclate croissant. I love everything C&B has to offer, it is a general 2020/2021 favorite. But I recently began getting a choclate croissant with my morning coffee and that is a massive April Favorite.
I’m not even sure what you call this stuff. As someone who lives in high heels, I am trying to reverse my fate of arthritis in the feet by age 30. Metatarsal pads in all of my shoes from now on, gauze for when I forget, and fashion tape for the boobs.
I recommend.
I recommend.
Great snack for a girl who still has no taste. I am unsure if the flavor of them is good, so I would love if someone could atest to that! Nonetheless, I think they’re great. I wish the bag was small enough to fit in my handbag...
Habibi Funk: An eclectic selection of Music from the Arab World. Arguably one of my favorite albums (and album covers) of all time (oat). I found the vinyl a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday.
Olivia Rodrigo’s “Deja Vu.” Sometimes I enjoy pop music, and I have enjoyed this song, with zero shame! I applaud miss Rodrigo for dragging this thing on, and I agree, fuck that man!
