Someone on tumblr requested a day in my life, and I have always wanted to do one of those, but I fear I do not do enough in a day, so here is a week of my life.
SATURDAY
SEPTEMBER 4, 2021Woke up angry because I missed the delivery of an important package. Got dressed, did the morning stuff, and went to get my coffee (I also got a chocolate croissant). I have to ship some stuff today so I went to my favorite misc store and bought mailing supplies and a notebook for school.
Packed the things, tons of fun.
Photoshopped a little, and tried to work on some homework until my Dad texted me that he brought me pizza (score).
Here they are, Dad and Pizza.
I told him I was blogging my days away and he so graciously offered to take a photo of my pizza and I.
Then we went in the backyard to smoke and talk about covid. I took a test on Thursday and received a false positive on Friday, so we spent all of yesterday freaking out and I stayed in my room all day to begin my quarantine, until my test was “revised” to a negative?! (Working on our emotional distress lawsuit now) (Jk) After our long chat about our crazy little world I was off to the post office!
Came home and finally started that homework.
Here is my sexy little orthographic drawing (that I don’t think I did right!)
I was summoned to the grocery store.
I made the salad. Parsley, pomegrante, and lemon - delicious. Had to walk back to the store because the first pomegrante I got was awful! (Didn’t photo that trip because I was frusterated). Also pictured is burrata with baby heirloom tomatoes.
We made chicken tangine, a classic, it was delicious.
After dinner I citi biked to Quinn’s.
There she is!
We worked on a crossword, and watched the D’Amelio Show on Hulu (lol).
Needed candy. Quinn took a phone call and I walked to the deli.
#Selfie. This is when we decided to turn off Dixie and Charli to watch all the most heart-wrenching episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. Goodnight!
SUNDAY
SEPTEMBER 5, 2021Woke up in Soho, fed the dog, and citi biked for coffee.
Mission accomplished, time to go home and change shoes because we’re going uptown!
Keeping a safe social distance from others in my sneakers (so rare), can you guess where we are going?
From this point on this is no longer an accurate depiction of my day because I never go to the uppers.
Maybe this is why! I arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art to discover a line that stretched the entire length of the museum (f*ck my life!!) But this is what I get for coming up here and trying to go to the most famous New York museum on a Sunday. Let’s try the Guggenheim.
No line! I went, it was fine, I liked the Edgar Degas bronze sculptures and Deana Lawson, Centropy, was beautiful.
Since I never come up here I figured I’d make the most of it! Walked to my favorite UES restaurant and listened to this Dent May album.
Even got a peak of the pond, lake? feels more like a pond. You know the one.
Arrived at Via Quadronno the happiest woman in the world. Got my tuna artichoke salad and a lemonade.
The main purpose of this trip was a homework assignment, not that I don’t love going to museums alone on a Sunday, but I needed to draw a 3D sculpture and let me tell you something - I do not draw! I do a lot of things, drawing is not one of them. I am not that girl, wish I was. At least this enviroment did not feel as hostile as my drawing class... Despite this being a homework journey, I had so much fun, I had a fabulous time.
The waiter totally thought I was hot and he liked my shitty drawings, so he brought me a tiramisu. God bless him! It was delicious.
Walked to the train and found a packed out platform as if covid has never existed, practically shit myself, but I progressed. The ride was absolutely awful, I hate a full train car.
Home in time for dinner. We had beef and cabbage stir fry, salad, saffron rice and tuna sashimi.
After dinner I took a bath, did more homework, and spent an hour (or two) picking out outfits for the week because I am a little nuts. Then I had one of these delicious coconut paletas. Going to end the night with a little Grey’s Anatomy and probably another bath. See you on Monday!
Thought I was done, but there’s more. Took a bath as predicted, grabbed some snacks (pictured), and watched an episode of Grey’s -
While I painted my nails! Little known fact about me, I do not like nail salons, I always paint my own nails. But I am totally one of those lazy nail painting girls that will file down the old polish when it chips and just paint over them again. Something about completely stripping the polish feels so laborious. I do start fresh once a month or so, just want to make that clear...
I talked to my great friend Aaron, smoked a little tiny bit of w**d, and fell asleep to Grey’s Anatomy.
MONDAY
SEPTEMBER 6, 2021Goodmorning and happy Monday. First things first, coffee.
Going to soho and using an extra mask as a hair tie - It’s going to be a great day.
Visited cute boyfriend.
Previewed Jaga-Jaga opening Wednesday. (It is amazing)
Tried to find an electric citi bike to no avail, so I walked home. (Uneventful, no photos)
Found cookies on the burner when I came home, of course I ate one (half).
I did not infact do the orthographic drawing right, so I attempted to fix it, I hope it is better now. Did more homework, just some writing. And I ate a sandwich (not pictured because I was so hungry I couldn’t think!)
Talked to this beautiful woman.
Put on my favorite face mask, took a shower, shaved my legs, and got dressed.
Hung out with miss eileen and chi chi (the cutest cat in the world).
Ran home, put on heels and mascara, and called an Uber as to not be late for Rosh Hashanah dinner.
Dinner was delicious. I love Jewish holidays, they are the best. Shanah tovah!
On my way home from dinner I stopped at cvs to pick up cotton pads, a new nail file, a new red polish (I’ll let you know how it is), and a travel size of my favorite miscellar water.
When I got home I found out my second attempt at an orthographic drawing was wrong too, so I fixed it once more... this time from bed because I am over it. And I listened to clb.
Ate half an apple and a red bean mochi, then I washed my face, moisturized, and went the f to sleep!
TUESDAY
SEPTEMBER 7, 2021Woke up at 7am as to not miss my important package delivery twice. I laid in bed for 30 minutes and thought about the day ahead, until I got a notification that my package was left at the post office for pickup! My god. This is me walking to the worst street in New York at 8 in the morning.
Got the package. If you have been paying attention, we haven’t gotten coffee yet, they’re not open until 9!
9 am bright n early, and I decided to eat a real breakfast today.
Unboxing.
She’s perfect, I love her. Cannot carry a single piece of school supplies, but she will be in attendance at my 8pm class tonight. After opening sexy bag, I walked to Quinn’s, because today is a big day.
We basked in the glory, found the light, and did a necessary photo-op.
And as if today could not get any better, I finally found these damn popsicles. I stopped at the deli on my way home to grab a seltzer water, and realized I never checked this place, sure enough they had them! I was so excited. I took this photo right as my camera died, but don’t worry, I have an extra battery at home.
I cleaned my room and made a crazy quesadilla. Afterwards, I was very full and out of it. I laid down for an hour or so and watched tiktok’s (shamelessly).
Got up and got dressed for school shortly before therapy.
Saw a man with many snakes (very cool) and stopped at the deli for bandaids because I wore new boots. Then I ran into sabina and myles (looking very sexy) on my way to class, that was nice.
Very convenient I bought bandaids because I cut my finger. After class I went back to said bandaid bodega and bought a ginger ale and mint juul pods, because I am a nicotine harlot. And in the spirit of harlot-ism the guy behind the counter offered me free juul pods for a sexual favor?? Highly inappropriate and very much not as cool as my old smoke shop guy simply wanting sex advice (read about that if you haven’t).
I returned home to thoughtful leftovers - wings and delicious green beans (I hate missing dinner!) But I sat and consumed the wings, the green beans, and some media.
Packed my things for school tomorrow (boring and treacherous) and I was really in the mood to cry and scream, but I did not. I ate a peach and immediately felt better.
I sat for a moment and admired my ever-growing bag collection. I love them all equally. (I hope you guys are enjoying this).
WEDNESDAY
SEPTEMBER 8, 2021I had a morning full of luck! My 9am class was online (heart eyes) and I somehow got a coffee beforehand without being late.
My second class of the day was in person and I was late to that one. Got sushi on the way.
After class I met myles for a juice and a chat.
I went home and got dressed for the evening before manically running around looking for a new pair of shoes (pictured here). In retrospect this was insane because I have hundreds of pairs of shoes... Think I was just feeling out of control!
Arrived at Freedom Gallery just in time for Joseph Wilson’s show Jaga-Jaga.
So many familiar faces (looking fabulous).
These were my favorite pieces.
The woman behind the blog, in the bathroom.
Quinn arrived fashionably late (with her Freedom Farhi tote in hand) shortly before buying her first piece.
She was very excited.
They were excited too.
Heart eyes.
And this is a good one.
It was a fabulous time. But what is a night at Freedom without dinner.
Goodnight!
Goodnight!
THURSDAY
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021Bf ordered us Sadelles for breakfast (great hangover food).
Hung out with our girl before meeting my real estate agent to see an apartment.
Walk of shame (but there’s no shame about it! I’m wearing mcqueen!) to the apartment viewing, and talking to my Mom on the phone.
Got my coffee, feeling so out of it today.
Had another package to ship so I went and saw my misc store best friend.
Came home and said hello to the other dog, and packed my package before rushing off to school.
On my way to class I dropped off the package and saw Lori Tan Chinn from orange is the new black (random) then I stopped at the grocery store and got this artichoke chicken salad that was suprisingly so good, I wish I photo-ed it but I was so hungry and so in a rush.
And I only got the delicious artichoke chicken salad because I thought I would miss dinner, but I finished all my work and walked in the door as the steak was being plated! Today is a lazy day of a little luck.
After dinner I thought about going out, but decided to try that new polish instead. Taking off the previ polish turned my finger tips red, what can I even compare this to???
The new color is fine, I wish it wasn’t so red but beggars can’t be choosers... After painting the nails I picked out my outfit for tomorrow and packed my bag.
And put on this cute shirt. Now, I am going to take a bath and drink a lot of water. Sorry today was so boring, I am disappointed too.
FRIDAY
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021Good morning! I got to take a bath before class today. I dried off, got dressed, got my coffee, and picked up another packing envelope.
Dropped off the package on my way to class.
Took this selfie in the bathroom.
After class I walked to this fabulous italian deli.
Got a sandwich, came home, ate half.
I was very excited to come home because of this package right here. Two unboxing’s in one week - you guys are lucky.
Correction: I am lucky. Look at this beautiful bag.
Mama and baby.
After laying in bed for thirty minutes I decided to put on a little outfit and make myself a cocktail.
Topo Chico, pineapple juice, and lots of vodka (this drink reminds me of China Chalet - lol). After making myself a sad cocktail I talked to my Dad for a bit about our bodies failing us and the feeling of exhaustion.
Then I went to the store for turkey pepperoni. I don’t think I have mentioned this on here, but when I was a kid I loved turkey pepperoni. If I went to the store with my Mom turkey pepperoni was my treat for being good, not ice cream. And I obviously still reward myself with turkey pep on occasion.
Accidental grocery store pic, but I like it.
At the gallery opening on Wednesday everyone was starving - for whatever reason nobody I talked to had eaten that day. Talisa had rice cakes in her handbag and she gave me one. I remembered how good rice cakes are! When I saw them at the store I had to get them, I strive to be that person with rice cakes in their handbag. Thank you Talisa!
Walking home, notice how I changed clothes, I don’t know what I was thinking before.
Hung out in the kitchen while my Dad made dinner.
The perfect burger, micro-greens, a sliver of sausage, and the best cucumber ricotta tomato salad.
I had to work on my orthographic drawing (again) because it is still messed up. You guys have basically watched me work on one drawing for five days now, depressing for both parties.
And we ordered pinkberry, this was very random and funny because we don’t usually eat dessert - let alone order frozen yogurt.
Finally, I sat down with a rice cake and a water, to reflect and finally post my days.
This was quite fun, I actually feel sad now that it is over, and I could’ve done another week easily. Now is the time I announce there will be no September Favorites, I was too busy doing this. There is only one thing I had time to favorite, Pangea. Google it, I miss it so much. I just know that is the way this planet is supposed to look. Thank you for spending a week of my life with me, I had a great time. Signing off, Bella M Lucio.
