Yesterday on our walk home, Quinn and I discovered a senior citizen ceramic sale. This experience was the highlight of my year! Sherman (the ceramics teacher) was so kind to us, he showed us around the studio, talked about his students with such elation and pride, he even showed us his own work, and he let us pick out magnets on our way out (on the house). The seniors donate two of their pieces to be sold about twice a year to continue funding the program. And the work is spectacular.
These three pieces on the top shelf were finished shortly before the city went on lockdown, and the seniors have not been back to pick them up yet. (Broke my heart! I hope they are okay and return to class soon.)

The magnet I chose.
I picked out these two works made by the same artist, Eddie (also the name of my grandpa).
Go buy some ceramics.
